NewsRack is a great RSS reader app. It’s especially great if you use Google Reader because NewsRack synchronizes with your Google Reader account. The synchronization setup was very simple requiring your Google Reader login info. As soon as you enter in your account information all of your RSS feeds setup in Google Reader are downloaded and synchronized with what you have already marked as read and what are still unread.

Navigating through your RSS feeds is user friendly and gives you the option to view all unread articles or to go through each feed individually. In addition, images are downloaded for offline viewing. When viewing a list of unread articles (whether looking at all unread or in a specific feed) you can click the checkbox item located at the bottom and it will mark all of the items as read with a single click. Additionally, you can finger click onto the left of each article marked as unread (signified with a blue dot) and it will mark that single article as being read. Finger clicking on the article name will bring up the summary or the full text of the article (based on the RSS feed settings).

Finger clicking on the right arrow located at the top right will take you to the article in a web browser integrated into NewsRack. You also have options to copy the URL, email the article, or share using Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, and several others.

NewsRack will also respond to both landscape and portrait modes providing you with the list of feeds always being displayed on the left while in landscape mode and hiding the list of feeds while in portrait mode. I prefer using landscape mode and having access to all feeds and articles at all times but both work seamlessly.

I am very pleased with NewsRack for an RSS reader and would highly recommend it to anyone who uses an RSS reader, especially those who use Google Reader.
