The iPad Camera Connection Kit is an easy way to download photos from your digital camera directly to your iPad so you can quickly and easily view and share with family and friends.
The kit comes with with two connectors, one that will work with a USB interface (so you can plug your camera in directly) and one that works with a SD card reader.
As soon as you plug in the connector of your choice and plug in either the USB cable or the SD card, the iPad will automatically open the Photos app and will let you select which pictures you would like to import.
The entire process is very slick and very easy. There are only a couple of negatives to this really slick and useful accessory. The first is that after importing, it appears there is a limit of 5 images to be attached to an email. Probably not a huge deal if you are snapping some shots and want to get it online quickly. However, if you wanted to email out The only other negative that I can tell so far is that even with a rather pricey sticker of $29, the ship time is estimated at 4-6 weeks. I ordered mine on May 8th and just received mine yesterday.
